GORDON JONES - IN MEMORIAM
6-12-21
Today the band said goodbye to one of its founding members from 1953, Gordon Jones
Gordon was our band quartermaster for many years and played with the us as a drummer until ill health meant he was unable to do so.
His funeral was attended by members of the band including Iain, our Pipe Major, and Ron, one of our pipers, who provided music for the occasion.

NEW PIPE MAJOR APPOINTED
29-11-21
The band has recently appointed a new Pipe Major with a wealth of experience in the Pipe Band world over many years.
Iain Raymond, previously Pipe Major of Gatwick Caledonian and British Airways Pipe Bands will lead the Oatlands Park Pipe Band into 2022 and beyond.
The band has recently been joined by several youth players and Iain is keen to develop a tuition program especially design for them.
We also has a new Committee to help manage the band. A new Pipe Sergeant, Secretary and Treasurer. All of whom are very experienced in the posts they all hold.
Now that the Lockdowns are hopefully behind us, we expect to have a busy year in 2022 and hope to see you at events soon!
